Wake Tech offers 程序s in 13 career fields – groups of occupations that require similar knowledge and skills.

职业生涯 fields provide a way for students to organize their studies and follow a path that aligns with their career interests. 学生 can climb an educational ladder, moving from non-degree training to a related certificate, diploma or associate degree 程序. If they want to climb even further, they could then transfer to a related bachelor's degree 程序 at a four-year college or university.

In this episode of the We Are Wake Tech Podcast, we dive into the Engineering career field. Prospective students can specialize in the science behind how things work and use scientific principles to build and design machines, 结构, 道路, bridges and tunnels.

One of our most popular transfer pathways is our Associate in Engineering 程序. The curriculum is designed to provide a solid general education foundation for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in areas of study such as computer science, engineering or professional 程序s that require a strong background in mathematics and science. Associate degree 程序s are part of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement, which facilitates the transfer of students between institutions in the North Carolina 社区 College System and the University of North Carolina System.
